You're invited to apply to Redpanda's Hack the Planet Scholarship, a three month mentorship program designed to help bring your next idea to life!

Application Requirements

The project should use Redpanda Connect MCP tools as part of an Agentic Application to achieve a non-trivial task directly from a prompt. It should be challenging for you and should span about 3 months of work. Most importantly, we want you to have fun on the project, knowing you have an amazing network of mentors to help when you get stuck!

The most valuable part of our scholarship is the support we provide. Scholarship recipients receive $1,500/month, weekly 1-1 mentorship from our most senior staff engineers (some of us have worked on the largest systems in the world), a monthly 1-1 with our CEO, code review and design review to hack on any project you want – preferably open source projects.

Eligibility Criteria

Application is open to individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in technology who want to work on Agentic AI and Distributed Systems. The scholarship supports individuals working on an Agentic AI related project over a 3 month period.

You must have basic programming knowledge in C++, Go, C, JavaScript or Java (the programming languages our team is highly skilled in). Write a proposal for a project that you want to work on for 3 months and fill out an application below.
